About the Job
In partnership with the Head of Organizational Development, the Leadership & Talent Development Manager will develop and execute the Learning and Leadership Development strategy, build innovative and inspire learning solutions that are focused on high-impact outcomes that meet MarketAxess’ current needs while being future-focused to meet the needs of our growing, global organization. The Leadership & Talent Development Manager will excel at translating abstract concepts into practical, commercial experiences that build critical Leadership, Management and Professional skills and help retain MarketAxess’ (MKTX) top talent. Success in this position requires Leadership and Management Development expertise and the ability to design and develop creative learning solutions with clear business impact.Â
What You’ll Do
- Lead the creation and architecture for all leadership, management and professional skills development at MarketAxess, including measurement and implementation strategies
- Develop from inception to delivery level-specific learning journeys and innovative program designs to support the critical career transitions, from individual contributor, to first-time manager, to experienced leader of leaders
- Be an advisor to the Head of OD on leadership and manager development, with a big picture view into external trends and the implications on our organizational effectiveness, talent management, performance management, and DEI strategies (e.g., employee listening, succession planning, career mobility)
- Determine which learning solutions should be designed in-house or in conjunction with an external vendor/partner and oversee that work, ensuring all learning solutions provide maximum business impact and a consistent, seamless learner experience
- Ensure solutions are progressive, accessible and relevant to our learners and continuously push the status quo of ways to enable learning
- Partner with business team stakeholders and HR colleagues to determine emerging business trends, skills, and experiences to inform the leadership and management development and professional skills strategies, continually evolving them to align with MKTX’s needs
- Provide end-to-end ownership of all learning and development processes, including coordination of all aspects of internal support for program development, communications, marketing, and event attendance to ensure organizational awareness, stakeholder buy-in, and high engagement of learning initiatives
- Advise and support bespoke business team learning needs as necessary
- Embed DEI concepts and topics into leadership and management, professional skills learning solutions
- Develop and evolve our global learning measurement strategy; analyze data to inform learning strategy
- Design, develop, and deliver performance management learning to all MKTX employees
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology or related field, Masters or advanced degree in I/O Psychology or Human Resources a plus
- 8+ years’ experience working in leadership development, talent development, talent management, organizational development, and/or HR consulting roles
- Expertise in leadership development, instructional design, and learning measurement
- Proven success designing, delivering and managing learning initiatives that can scale to large and diverse audiences
- The combination of a strategic mindset to guide the future of learning and leadership development at MKTX and being ready, willing, and able to roll up your sleeves to get the work done
- Experience integrating and embedding DEI concepts and topics into leadership and management, and professional skills learning solutions
- Exceptional consulting, client service and relationship management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, facilitation, presentation skills
- Vendor management experience, including sourcing, vetting, selecting, and onboarding partners to create and deliver live and online learning solutions
- Strong knowledge of the sales and/or technology learning landscape (e.g., vendors, building curricula) a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and use data to determine priorities
- Comfort with influencing and directing others, often without direct line reporting authority
- Experience working in a global environment, tech or financial services industry experiences a plus

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $120,000 USD to $160,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
