Position Overview:

As a technical pre-sales professional, you willwork with cross-functional teams, Sales Representatives, Application Engineers,Marketing Program Managers, and Customer Support to uncover customers'technical needs and sales potential. This positionoffers great visibility within the organization and a potential career path asa Sales Application Engineer (AE), Account Manager (AM), Technical MarketingEngineer (TME), or Customer Support Applications Engineer. Over the past sevenyears, many employees in this role have advanced into key technical roles.

Key functions:

As a Corporate Marketing Engineer you will beresponsible for driving revenue by uncovering leads for sales. You will engagekey decision makers (engineers) in a technical conversation to learn abouttheir design environment, perform a technical screen to assess sales potential,and recommend tool solutions for their design challenges. You will call (viatelephone) prospects at the direction of Account Managers (ex: upgrades, crosssell, prospecting) in addition to following up on people engaging with Mentor'sweb site.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS (Master's degreeis preferred) in either EE, ECE/EET, Chemistry, or Physics with semiconductoremphasis.
  • Strong understanding inone or more of the following areas: custom IC layout, physical verification andmanufacturability, (e.g., Calibre DRC/LVS, a plus).
  • C/Tcl programming skillsa plus. Exposure to Linux platforms, networking, and running software acrossmulti-machine/multi-CPU grid applications.
  • Excellent verbal andwritten communication skills; very self-motivated and results-oriented; able tomeet specific quota goals
  • and performancedeliverables each quarter; inquisitive and a good problem solver; proficient inMicrosoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be comfortableinteracting directly with prospects in a business environment.

The hourly range forthis position is $30.96 to $55.72 and this role is eligible to earn incentivecompensation.The actual compensation offered is based on thesuccessful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, includingjob-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits toemployees.
