Perform process design engineering initiatives. This will include championing Resideo's lean initiatives for all aspects of the supply chain for our El Paso, Texas and Louisville, Kentucky distribution centers. Perform industrial engineering studies at our El Paso facility to improve the workflow efficiency in areas of receiving, stocking, replenishing, picking and shipping. Directly study the current processes to produce a more efficient alternative to Resideo's internal processes and procedures, thus driving productivity gains. Identify opportunities that will optimize the space processing capacity by creating minim um and maximum standard capacities for our proprietary bins through analyzing SKU velocity. Optimize freight logistics between our Chihuahua and Juarez facilities in Mexico, along with our El Paso, Texas and Louisville, Kentucky facilities in an effort to reduce operational costs. Study functional statements, organizational charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of our employees, along with work units, to identify areas of duplication in an effort to lean out operations. Confer with management and engineering staff to implement continuous improvement plans and offer recommendations to improve workflow efficiencies.

Education & Experience

Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Five (5) years of progressive experience in Planning and Engineering in an Electronics Manufacturer industry or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) industry.

Special Requirements

Work experience to include: Three (3) years of experience in test and repair operations; Three (3) years of experience in engineering and manufacturing roles; Three (3) years of experience in distribution or fulfillment operations; Five (5) years of experience in SAP system or any other equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms; Five (5) years of experience in planning and inventory management roles or APICS CPIM certified; Five (5) years of experience in supply chain, material resource planning and sourcing activities; Five (5) years of experience in sales and operations planning process; Five (5) years of experience in lean manufacturing methodology and cost reduction project implementation. Any and all experience may be gained concurrently. Approximately 20% domestic travel required to Resideo site in El Paso, TX for evaluation and implementation of lean initiatives. Travel expenses paid by employer.
