Lean Manager
Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Provide project management duties for Enterprise level lean transformation projects. Focused efforts on driving lean training, competencies, assessment and certification deployment across nVent.
Work cross-functionally to develop effective strategy for increasing Lean capability across the Enterprise by;
- Facilitate, train and lead knowledge transfer and Lean Assessment process across the Enterprise
- Train domestic and global sites in Lean methodology as requested and work with nVent leadership to identify priorities for Lean Training and Development.
- Handle portfolio of assigned Enterprise projects as well as be responsible for the Lean data center of excellence (SharePoint, Teams, )
- Drive lean certification progress across nVent including individuals and sites certification
- Coordinate benchmarking and external analysis (Subject Matter Experts, Workshops, company visits, etc.)
- Identify and share standard methodologies and external trends, through chairing the Lean Council
YOU HAVE:
Academic background with a Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or related field.
Previous experience in or with 5+ years business process or manufacturing continuous improvement experience. Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and applying Lean outside manufacturing a plus. Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP and other relevant application software.
Skills
- Analytical skills and business financial knowledge a plus.
- Knowledge with proven skills in using and teaching Lean tools
- Strong project management and project leadership experience (full cycle process/project management, planning and change management).
- Ability to optimally plan, direct and coordinate to changing demands and circumstances activates across cross functional teams and departments
