What you get to do: 

The Learning and Communication Coordinator will provide essential day-to-day support to the Learning, Talent, DEI and Communication Team by providing proactive program coordination, managing our brand assets, content development, social monitoring, and reporting. This role will report to the Director, Learning & Development.

Enable Learning, Talent and DEI

  • Provide tech support for programming, launching polls, creating and managing breakout rooms, fielding questions in the chat, and providing general support to ensure a smooth program
  • Help develop the brand of our learning function and ensure employees and managers have the necessary materials and resources to be successful
  • Manage company learning management system 
  • Schedule and support coordination of all learning & development experiences
  • Manage the logistics in Lattice for Oppt for Growth, OppFi’s end-to-end Talent Management Process, including creating and updating templates, drafting and sending reminders, etc.
  • Edit the marketing and communication plans for Oppt for Growth and all learning and development initiatives
  • Partner with the DEI team and Business Resource Groups (BRG) leads to support ongoing initiatives and cultural awareness campaigns (e.g., Heritage Months, cultural celebrations, remembrance days, etc.)
  • Maintain team documents, SOPs, and templates in shared team repositories
  • Handle vendor procurement process, ensuring all vendors go through the Legal and Compliance Review before contracts are signed

Support Corporate Communications

  • Support internal communications in implementing communication plans and tactics to support company communication, employee programs, and organizational updates
  • Meaningfully contribute to content development and site management for our intranet and partner in creating engaging editorials
  • Manage an internal corporate communications editorial calendar to deliver timely, engaging, and compelling stories to our team
  • Provide support for social media content development and lead efforts to improve engagement strategies across the social channels
  • Manage our brand asset management platform
  • Update the OppFi culture calendar to keep the company abreast of all it’s happenings and ways to get involved
  • Building and managing “The Loop,” our company intranet for the Talent & DEI Team

What you will bring to the team:

These are the minimum qualifications that our hiring team is looking for in this role:

  • 2 years experience in People Operations, Learning & Development, Communications, or Human Resources 
  • Written communication skills with the ability to customize messaging across a variety of audiences.
  • Embraces a culture of change and is agile and adaptable.
  • Project management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and execute at a high level.
  • Experience with popular social media channels and how they can be integrated into a brand's marketing strategy.

Reports to: Director, Learning & Development

Job Level: Entry

The minimum salary for this role is $45,000.  The total compensation package includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses as well as a 1-time equity grant based on level.

The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be at the company’s sole discretion, and determined by a myriad of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, and other relevant business considerations.
