A Learning and Development Coordinator, in collaboration with Human Resources, contributes to administrative and project management efforts for complex in-person and virtual training initiatives, programs, and events. The coordination efforts of this role will include in-person training conferences, virtual distance experiences, learning management system administration, and being a supportive member of the Learning and Development and Human Resources team.
The Learning and Development Coordinator will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Provides on-site coordination of in-person training event logistics which will include, training roster support, meal catering organization, classroom setup, and other duties as assigned to ensure a successful learning event.
- Ability to coordinate with other departments, such as travel, facilities, and other administrators to ensure successful coordination of in-person training events and programs.
- Coordination of ongoing operationalized training programs such as new hire learning.
- Ability to work within a Learning Management system to set up classes, programs, rosters, and pull appropriate reporting data in support of complex training programs and events.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office with effective use of Microsoft Teams in support of being a producer within virtual training events.
- Researches, identifies, and recommends best practices for process efficiency resulting in positive employee experiences, legal compliance, and internal efficiency.
- Flexible for projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary.
- High-level understanding of adult learning principles to participate in learning and development meetings and design conversations.
Skills And Experience
- Demonstrate and embody Nordic's maxims
- 3+ years' experience working in event and program management
- Learning & Development background preferred
- Self-starter with an attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Workday knowledge is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Additional Details
- Hybrid position with a primary work location (minimum of 3 days a week) to be at the main Nordic office in Madison, WI.
