VPU and positioncontext

The Corporate Secretariat (SEC) of the World Bank Group supportsthe Board of Governors and the Executive Directors of IBRD, IDA, IFC and MIGAin executing their fiduciary and governance responsibilities. SEC therefore isunique in working across all the World Bank Group institutions (IBRD, IDA, IFC,MIGA, and ICSID) and serves as the key interlocutor between the Board ofGovernors, the Executive Directors, the President and Senior Management,operational management, and staff. SEC's primary purpose is to facilitateeffective, efficient, and strategically focused interactions between the Boardand Management to achieve the World Bank Group's overall mission of povertyreduction.

The Corporate Affairs and Administration Department (SECCA) leadsshareholder relations, elections, voting and membership for all WBGinstitutions, and the implementation of the IBRD and IFC general and selectivecapital increases. It manages all communications with Governors as well as allgovernance, policy, and administration aspects of Board Officials, includingappointments and terminations, and the Joint Bank/Fund Committee onRemuneration of EDs and Alternates. SECCA also leads the organization of theWBG Spring and Annual Meetings, the Board's records and information services,the Board's knowledge, learning and onboarding programs and the VoiceSecondment Program, and oversees, in cooperation with the Information TechnologyServices team, Board systems modernization and delivery of technology servicesto EDs' offices.

SEC's Knowledge and Learning (K&L) Team provides learningsolutions to Executive Directors' Offices (EDs) and Corporate Secretariat (SEC)staff to acquire the skills needed to support the Board effectively. This isdone in collaboration with all WBG institutions and Vice-Presidencies toprovide continuous learning throughout the Board's term. SECCA is searching for a Learning Associate to join the K
