The Opportunity

We seek a Learning & Development Business Partner who can help us drive the growth of our employees and expand our ability to support the diverse needs of our employees. This role will be responsible for the learning and development needs of our Corporate, Innovation, and Servicing functions focused on supporting enterprise-wide learning initiatives including deploying best-in-class compliance learning strategy and building robust talent development experiences to support growth of our employees to excel in their current roles and build talent pipelines for the future. Working in collaboration with our business, the L&D Business Partner will build strategic partnerships with business leaders, define the L&D roadmap for the business and design and manage learning experiences that deliver impact. The ideal candidate will have a proven consultative approach, a track record of building strategic partnerships, and a demonstrated ability to set strategy and manage the plan and projects to completion. The position requires expertise in program design and management and a track record of achieving talent development results in prior roles. Success in this role is defined by demonstrating that the expansion of learning and development experiences are highly correlated to achieving business outcomes. 

Strategic Consulting

  • Consult, contract and influence stakeholder agreement and commitment on multiple high visibility initiatives that drive high performance and help people grow in their capacity to achieve results. Initial priorities include establishing a consistent compliance learning framework and approach, building a talent development strategies for Innovation and Servicing and prioritizing the build of experiences to yield the biggest impact.
  • Partner with key business stakeholders to determine critical development opportunities and document agreed upon roadmap.
  • Embed and monitor KPI frameworks related to performance, productivity and efficiency and provide regular updates to senior management and other key stakeholders

Learner-Focused

  • Focus on the learner and the process the learner goes through to apply new knowledge. Research and work to deeply understand learner goals, challenges, and unique needs.
  • Implement learning experience design principles and techniques. Learning experiences may include case studies, role plays, mock situations/ scenarios, problem solving, simulations, gamification, and other methods that enable participants to actively practice and cultivate skills. 

Design Optimization

  • Create compelling recommendations to solve complex business challenges through L&D solutions.
  • Design and deliver programs that focus on implementing skills most needed to achieve business outcomes and are aligned with how learners apply new knowledge. Delivery methods may include live and virtual instructor-led training, facilitated discussions and group work, blended learning, and other learning modalities.
  • Engage managers to support participant application of learning back on the job. Design and implement tools and other resources that support putting new learning into practice.
  • Gather data to assess effectiveness of talent development programs, which may include assessing learning comprehension, gathering feedback on learning application, and correlating data to business outcomes.

What someone will need to be successful in this role

  • Seven-ten years of experience in progressively larger roles in a corporate learning environment, with exceptional instructional design and facilitation/delivery skills.
  • Five-seven years of building and managing strategic relationships to deliver business value.
  • Five-ten years of experience in designing and managing learning programs, talent programs and/or enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Three-five years of experience with enterprise-wide talent initiatives such as managing compliance learning or similar experience
  • Three-five years of experience with managing learning or talent initiatives for IT or similar technical business unit.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, with an advanced degree preferred. Course concentration in Organizational Development, Education, Instructional Design, or related field of study preferred.
  • Exceptional program design and delivery experience, learning experience design expertise is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in clearly articulating a business case, defining outcomes, and effectively communicating to multiple stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Ability to drive clarity from ambiguity and execute with excellence.
  • Demonstrated passion for learning and development of talent.
  • Experience in measurement and analytics.
  • Knowledge and use of modern learning systems, tools, and processes.
  • Demonstrated track record as a change agent and driver of learning outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and or ten or more years prior experience in a similar position.

    Travel

    The Employee must:

  • Have a valid driver’s license/ability to drive (including corporate vehicles).
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
