CLA is seeking to hire a Learning Curriculum Director!
The Learning Curriculum Director partners with the business to assess and identify learning needs and develops a curriculum to address those needs. The Learning Curriculum Director works collaboratively with subject matter experts, internal stakeholders, and instructors to design and develop learning. They have a high degree of responsibility and decision making to ensure learning programs organized, planned, and executed successfully. They establish and maintain the highest standards of quality to provide effective and efficient learning programs for the firm. They have a natural customer service approach to interactions with internal clients, Learning & Development team members, and vendors.
Essential Job Functions:
- Curriculum Development: They establish and sustain relationships with business unit leaders to Identify and analyze training and performance needs to create a learning curriculum. They understand the unique business needs of the areas they support and act as a trusted consultant by recommending solutions, instructional strategies, and media to address learning needs. They solicit content, define and sequence instructional content and strategies, and design and develop materials to support both facilitators and participants in instructor led, blended, and online learning programs. They develop and implement evaluation solutions to determine if learning solutions are addressing the gaps/needs identified.
- Curriculum Management: They partner with the business on learning program content and session details. Ensure learning needs are met by developing relationships with specific business units. Evaluate participant's feedback from learning events and make appropriate changes. Estimates project scope, timelines, resource requirements, and constraints/risks. Utilizes adult learning techniques in the development and delivery of learning plans and curriculums. Demonstrates knowledge of current techniques and procedures used in the design and development of learning.
- Learning Project Management: Strong organization and management skills. Manages and prioritize course development activities for multiple courses with firm deadlines. Leads projects to meet schedule, budget, and quality standards. Works independently and handles multiple projects simultaneously. Maintains confidentiality and collaborates with other professionals across the organization. They work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Highly adaptable, mobile, positive, resilient, and creative thinker, who is open to new ideas. Communicates effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements:
Experience
- 8 years relevant experience; professional services environment preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or related experience.
Certifications / Licenses
- None required.
Technical Competencies
- Strong computer aptitude including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other tools.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and theory.
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and theories.
- Strong advisory & consulting skills.
Organizational Interfaces
- The Learning Curriculum Director reports to the Director of Learning Curriculum. They do not have any direct reports. Collaborates as an integral member of the Learning and Development Team.
Travel Requirements
- This position requires 25% travel.
