Role Overview:

As a Learning Designer at Tomorrow University, your role is to work with internal professors and external subject matter experts to build and maintain the impact certificates and challenges of our curriculum, thereby supporting learner growth on their journey toward becoming the changemakers of tomorrow.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for advising professors and SMEs on didactics and best practices for creating competency-based online learning that aligns with our university’s academic and program standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for iteratively improving the student-learning experience through the collection and analysis of student data, as well as feedback from instructors and SMEs.

Key Responsibilities:

• 🔨 Work alongside subject matter experts and multimedia producers to craft personalized and engaging learning experiences. As a Learning Designer, you will oversee all phases of the design process: aligning instruction content to defined learning competencies using backward design methodology. Manage several projects at once while ensuring deadlines, budget, and quality.
• 💬 Foster stakeholder relationships with challenge owners (academics and external subject matter experts) to ensure consistency and quality in our offerings.
• 📊Analyze relevant learner data use 360° feedback to iterate upon challenge content and teaching methods, and make data-driven decisions when proposing new ideas to improve the learner experience.
• 📚Co-own and contribute to the development of templates for courses, instruction materials, competency taxonomy, and quality assessment tools.
• 🤝Collaborate with cross-functional teams when required, acting as an SME with cross-functional teams to improve our learning design processes and overall product.
• 🍎Inform our learning experience and vision through research; applying your knowledge of educational theory and staying up-to-date with pedagogical innovations to integrate it into our experience (examples: AI for Learning Design ; P2P methodologies; community building methodologies; etc)
  
  

Your Profile:

• You have a learner-centric attitude, first and foremost.

• You have a background in pedagogical content design and production with experience in competency-based & backward design

• You’re able to work autonomously and manage your time effectively, managing several projects at the same time.

• You have strong communication skills and enjoy connecting the dots between diverse stakeholders’ needs.

• You’re a team player with a hands-on mentality. You’re quick to test out solutions yourself and collaborate with others.

• You have C2 English skills and are comfortable working in a remote environment.

• Bonus points for:

  • 3+ years in learning design and/or 2+ years in relevant project management

  • Degree or certification specifically related to instructional design and pedagogy

  • Experience with CBL methodology, curation model, building a learning community

  • Background working in a start-up environment, in higher education, or at an EdTech company
