Learning & Development Coordinator
Job Description
The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within DRS has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA. EOIS develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles and airborne platforms. Position Summary
Perform administrative activities in support of the Human Resources (Learning & Development) organization. Perform support tasks including updating and maintaining the Learning Management Systems, responding to questions on training courses from employees, and providing support to employee training programs.
Basic Qualifications and Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and 2+ years of experience
- Must be flexible and willing to move between projects and tasks quickly and as needed
- The ability to listen to others and to work well as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to manage own time effectively, produce work of the highest quality, and meet deadlines consistently
- Knowledge of office procedures and good writing and verbal skills
Desired Skills
- Experience using Microsoft suite of programs
- Experience working within Excel Spreadsheets
- Scheduling and managing learning events
- Experience working within a SharePoint site
- Comfortable leading a group conversation or speaking to an audience
- Experience entering data in a Learning Management System preferred
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of routine activities in support of human resources for a specific project, business or a technical unit
- Gather, collect, record, track and verify data and information from multiple sources
- Compile, review and analyze data
- Use software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations
- May design processes to enhance work flow
- Provide data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures
- This position typically spends 70% of their time supporting the function
- Moderate understanding of general job aspects and good understanding of detailed aspects of the job
- May coordinate special projects and complete ad hoc assignments
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Other duties as assigned

- Travel up to 10% of time
