Learning & Development (L&D) Partner
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The mission of the Learning & Development team at Milliman is to help individuals succeed at their jobs through impactful learning events and useful learning resources.
In this role, you will collaborate with members of the L&D team and members of the business to move concepts from ideation to delivery. You will divide your time between designing ILT/VILT/e-learning content (50%), and training and facilitation (30%), and participating in departmental initiatives and projects (20%).
RESPONSIBILITIES (What you'll be doing)
- Manage the end-to-end process of creating new ILT/VILT/e-Learning content
- Participate in design meetings with team leadership and subject matter experts to conceptualize program look/feel, standards, templates and content development formats
- Manage content effectively including version control and data security
- In person and virtual delivery of business skills, leadership, and management training
- Implement follow-up and learning re-enforcement tools to augment in-person training
- Proactively communicate to learners through LMS, SharePoint, email, and MS Teams
- Monitor training effectiveness through various assessment and evaluation methods

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development with emphasis on soft or business skill development.
- Experience designing ILT and VILT learning experiences
- Experience creating e-learning
- Proficiency using Articulate for authoring e-learning
- Subject matter knowledge in leadership theories and talent management principles
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Ability to travel is required - Most training scheduled well in advance.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
- Experience working with highly analytical stakeholders and learners
- Experience working with a decentralized corporate structure
- Certification in one or more leadership development courses, DiSC, Situational Leadership, Crucial Conversations, Change Management, Conflict Management, etc.
COMPENSATION:
The salary range is $65,000 to $105,000, depending on a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc. This role is based out of the Milliman's Corporate office, but candidates can work remotely anywhere in the US.
