What You Will Contribute:

The Learning Experience Designer plays a key role in the design and implementation of learning programs and curriculum that enables employees and leaders to succeed in all stages of their careers, here at Badger Meter.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes training needs by gathering feedback from key stakeholders and subject matter experts at various levels of the organization
  • Applies proven instructional design theories, practice, and methods that enable learners to acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and engaging manner.
  • Creates content, learning programs and curriculum that supports the entire employee life cycle including but not limited to leadership skills, onboarding, employee/management development programs, and business acumen.
  • Designs and develops materials for self-directed online, virtual, and in-person training using best practices in blended, adult learning principles and methodologies.
  • Selects and manages internal and external resources including the LMS, vendors, and subject matter experts.
  • Oversees and executes upon the compliance training programs consistent with both internal and external compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures the overall deployment of the Workday Learning platform delivers a positive learner experience that is administratively efficient.
  • Oversees and manages the administration of all learning technologies and platform assets; stays abreast on trends and best practices.
  • Ensures all learning assets are current; archives and updates training materials in response to program changes or based on results of needs analysis.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of learning programs and takes actions for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in instructional design, adult education, human resources, or related field.
  • 5 + years of related experience in a business setting.
  • Experience and proficiency with instructional design tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Rise, Camtasia, Snagit, Vyond, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects across various timelines.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with audiences at all levels.
  • Experience utilizing Learning Management System (LMS) to launch, track and manage learning content; Workday experience a plus.
