appliedx is a Learning and Development team supporting Applied Materials' Engineering & Operations arms. We create learning experiences for the technical and functional skills that support the ongoing development and performance of our global employees.

As the Learning Experience Program Manager, you will oversee the development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of learning programs. You will guide our team to launch our skill certification programs which will provide employees a concrete path, through learning, to move their careers forward. You will work closely with SMEs across the business and other appliedx leaders to improve skills journeys and role-based curricula, as well as optimize the user experience and features of our learning catalog. This position is hybrid, 3 days/week, from Applied's headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with subject-matter experts (SMEs) from various business units to understand business and learning needs in order to develop and deploy effective training solutions.
  • Collaborate with Instructional Designers to develop new learning offerings.
  • Plan, execute, operationalize, and assess needle mover skill certificate programs that include assessment, demos, and active learning.
  • Manage role-based curricula and skill journeys on learning platforms and identify opportunities for updates or development of new curricula.
  • Develop and maintain a high-quality catalog of course offerings by selecting, evaluating, and weeding materials, and performing learning catalog audits, and identify opportunities for feature improvements.
  • Drive program and course evaluation and metrics and identify process improvements for our reporting systems.
  • Support quarterly and yearly learning events.
  • Serve as the Project Manager for new and continuous improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Excellent project management and critical thinking skills
  • The ability to take initiative in gathering input and feedback from experts throughout the company to inform learning experience design
  • The ability to communicate clearly (written and oral) and synthesize information from others to determine actionable takeaways
  • The ability to analyze data and drive decision making based on learning analytics
  • Desire and ability to learn technical information
  • Demonstrated ownership and consistent delivery on commitments; exceptional organizational skills, follow-through, and attention to detail
  • A desire for feedback and continued learning
  • Experience creating and maintaining reporting dashboards

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education or experience in science, mathematics, engineering, and technology-related fields
  • A master's degree in education, instructional design, educational technology, or a related field
  • Experience as an Instructional Designer
  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence across cross-functional teams in a global environment
  • Event planning experience

U.S. Salary Range:

$120,000.00 - $165,000.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
