The Learning and Inclusion Specialist assists in the design, implementation, facilitation and scaling of MAL's training and DEI programs.
With a DEI-centric lens, this role will assess developmental needs, identify learning solutions, and design and implement tailored L&D programs. Provides administrative and logistical support for all learning activities, DEI programming and initiatives within the MAL community and its Employee Resource Groups (ERG’s).
Learning Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative and logistical support for all L&D and DEI Programs.
- Identifies learning and development needs and designs and delivers training content and materials for in-house programs.
- Monitors and reviews the progress of learning and learners. Evaluates the effectiveness and impact of learning and development programs.
- Designs, implements, and analyzes engagement/climate surveys, engagement activities, career plans/paths, succession maps.
- Partners with external vendors and content providers to ensure that projects meet organizational quality standards. Evaluates potential service providers and oversees delivery of service.
- Tracks budget expenditures and processes invoices related to learning activities.
DEI Responsibilities:
- Ensures all programs have DEI principles included in content.
- Active member of DEI committees and Employee Resource Groups.
- Oversees DEI activities and fosters a culture of inclusion and belonging.
- Builds and grows relationships with external DEI stakeholders - organizations, leaders, and facilitators.
- Drives awareness, interest, and participation in DEI programs and initiatives through compelling messaging and storytelling.
- Provides guidance and direction to the ERGs, in the planning and implementation of their programs, initiatives, and activities as well as hands-on logistical and administrative support for ERG activities.
- Tracks budget expenditures and processes invoices related to DEI and ERG activities.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent experience in business administration, human resources, organizational behavior, psychology, education or another related discipline or field of study preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience in a learning and inclusion role, preferably in a creative environment.
- Certification, coursework, or experience in Psychometric/Behavioral/Coaching - MBTI, DISC, Gallup, or Predictive Index.
- Knowledge of DEI, organizational systems, human behavior, and learning development theory.
- Knowledge of a variety of learning methodologies and tools to ensure effectiveness of learning and inclusion programs.
- Experience with learning and development programming; including leadership/professional development and technical training.
- Experience with a variety of multimedia training systems, software, platforms, and Learning Management Systems (LMS/LXP).
- Experience with evaluating and researching training needs and alternatives and the designing and implementation of learning and development solutions.
- Knowledge of methods of diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as the contexts, cultures, and subcultures within organizations.
