Learning Program Manager - Bilingual Spanish

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a key member of the North America Operations Learning team, the Learning Program Manager is responsible for the detailed definition, project management, planning, analysis, design, development, deployment and evaluation of learning and performance improvement solutions. The Learning Program Manager develops high quality solutions that are part of a larger strategic learning strategy to enhance employees' performance and support specific business needs. Learning programs may include eLearning , virtual instructor-led and in-person classroom training, and on-the-job programs, among other delivery methods. The successful candidate must be familiar with all aspects of the instructional development process (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation) and be proficient in using rapid e-learning development tools such as Articulate 360's suite of apps. The Learning Program Manager works closely with leadership, internal team members, subject matter experts, business partners and other stakeholders throughout the development life cycle in order to ensure that learning programs meet or exceed business needs and objectives.

This is an individual contributor role with broad impact on our North America Operations organization. This position reports to the Manager, Business Support and Learning + Development within North America Operations Support. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a high degree of ownership and have strong, diverse instructional design skills, excellent communication, business acumen and be proficient at planning and managing projects.

WORK YOU'LL DO (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)

Learning Development (Instructional Design)
  • Create learning experiences that result in the acquisition and application of knowledge and skills
  • Follow a system; like, ADDIE or SAM for assessing needs, designing a process, developing materials, implementing and evaluating effectiveness of learning programs
  • Work with team leadership and internal team members to design, support, and maintain strategic learning initiatives including but not limited to: new program development, program evaluation, course maintenance, and process documentation
  • Work independently, with subject matter experts or with guidance from peers or team leadership, to design, develop, and support learning programs as assigned, including but not limited to: eLearning, classroom training, virtual training, media, and other learning support materials
  • Partner with internal team members to effectively contribute to all phases of learning development including content development, quality assurance, testing, release, support, evaluation, and the revision cycle
  • Establish, influence, and communicate guidelines and recommendations for best practices related to instructional design and content development
  • Ensure the company's culture, values, diversity, equity and inclusion agendas are championed as part of all learning initiatives


Training Delivery and Facilitation
  • Serve as a catalyst for learning by understanding the learner's needs, creating the right environment for learning, building rapport with participants, and using the appropriate delivery options and media to make learning engaging, effective, relevant, and applicable
  • Coordinate the logistical tasks associated with planning meetings or learning events
  • Facilitate meetings and/or learning events in face-to-face and/or virtual environments
  • Foster positive learning climates/environments
  • Select and align delivery options and media for training and/or learning events to the desired learning or behavioral outcomes
  • Facilitate learning events using multiple delivery options and media, for example online, classroom, mobile/multi-device, and/or multimedia
  • Design and develop learning assets, for example role plays, self-assessments, training manuals, job aids, and visual aids


Translations - English to Spanish
  • Delivers translated learning and performance solutions
  • Translates content within learning assets from English to Spanish; like, eLearning courses (content and audio), participant guides, instructor guides, job aids, learner communications and other learning support materials
  • Integrates translated content across a variety of formats
  • Completes testing of translated eLearning course content for overall accuracy and functionality


Communication
  • Clear, concise and persuasive when connecting with others
  • Express thoughts, feelings, and ideas in a clear, concise, and compelling manner
  • Facilitate dialogue with individuals and/or groups to help them identify, articulate and/or clarify their thoughts and feelings
  • Apply persuasion and influencing techniques to gain agreement, commitment and buy-in from subject matter experts, business partners and/or stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver information in various formats and media; for example, reports, briefings, memorandums, presentations, articles and emails


Project Management Basics
  • Management of work to deliver on learning initiatives
  • Develop project plans and schedules that integrate resources, tasks, and timelines for learning deliverables
  • Monitor and communicate progress towards the achievement of project goals, objectives and milestones
  • Evaluate and prioritize implications, risks, feasibility, and consequences of potential activities
  • Adjust plans and schedules in response to changes in project goals, resources and/or time
  • Establish, influence and communicate guidelines and recommendations for best practices related to learning project management


Evaluate Impact
  • Evaluate the impact of learning and/or performance improvement solutions
  • Develop and implement a systematic method for gathering, analyzing, and reporting on information about the effectiveness and effort of learning programs
  • Put into practice qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques/tools; such as, observations, interviews, focus groups, questionnaires, surveys, and/or assessments
  • Organize and present data relevant to business strategies and goals to inform decision-making, improve learning programs and increase the value proposition of learning with business stakeholders and senior leadership


Other Duties as Assigned
  • Partner with team members and business partners in the roll out of monthly required training
  • Work with team members to communicate required training progress updates
  • Handle incoming and outgoing NA Operations Learning email
  • Manage the NA Operations Learning Google Currents community
  • Provide input on and complete updates to the NA Operations Learning internal Google Sites (web pages)


WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in the Learning and Development field, planning and preparation, presentation and facilitation, designing and developing learning materials, project management, and/or learning program management
  • 1-3 years instructional design experience - eLearning, virtual-instructor led, and traditional classroom instructor-led
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides
  • Proficient in using Articulate 360's suite of apps
  • Experience delivering training in a classroom, small group and/or on-the-job environment.
  • Experience leading virtual learning events using Google Meet or a similar video-communication platform
  • Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Skill Proficiency
  • Translations Performance: Level 4 (Professional Performance)
  • Skilled at translating into Spanish a variety of English publications, documents, eLearning courses, internet web pages, graphics, videos, etc. and some ability to navigate differences among the many local varieties of Spanish
  • Excellent command of the English language, with the ability to produce accurate, clear and concise oral and written communications in Spanish ensuring that the translated content reflects the same intent and meaning as the original English material, inclusive of accurate spelling and proper grammar usage for the professional, business environment
  • Ability to convert Flash based courses to HTML5
  • Excellent written communications skills, inclusive of accurate spelling and proper grammar usage
  • Speaks accurately and concisely with confidence
  • Social ease and a demonstrated ability to build relationships with a variety of different people and personality types at various levels
  • Ability to connect and work with a variety of subject matter experts, business partners, stakeholders, leaders and executives
  • Highly organized and able to efficiently manage multiple priorities. Meets deadlines. Strong operational focus
  • Proactive, positive, effectively manages expectations, uses sound judgment, escalates concerns when necessary
  • Ability to effectively adapt to a changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a virtual environment independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, as needed
  • Possess essential competencies vital to the Learning Specialist role; including but not limited to Instructional Design (for eLearning, virtual instructor-led, instructor-led), Training Delivery and Facilitation, Communication, Relationship Management, Teamwork and Project Management


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of related Certificate Program(s); like ATD e-Learning Instructional Design, Virtual Instructional Design, Instructional Design, etc
  • Experience with XML and HTML
  • Experience with Camtasia and/or Audacity
  • Experience with Google Workspace - GMail, Calendar, Meet,Sheets, Docs, Forms, etc.
  • Experience with Google Sites or a similar structured wiki and web page creation tool
  • Experience with Google Currents or a similar internal enterprise communications platform
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems, like SuccessFactors, Workday or other cloud based software


Education
  • BA or BS degree
  • Learning and Development, HR, Education|Adult Learning, Communications, Organization Development, Leadership Development preferred; but, not required
