Amplify is looking for a Learning Scientist to join our team. The Learning Scientist will work as part of research and product teams on a variety of projects that integrate assessment and instruction within a digital curriculum platform. The hired candidate will provide theoretical guidance in the design and creation of new assessment and instructional products with an emphasis on optimizing technology for learning as well as plan, conduct, and disseminate results of field research studies that provide support for Amplify's products and services.

Responsibilities of the Learning Scientist:

• Provide guidance to inform the development of instructional activities and assessments, supporting stance with existing research.
• Conduct experiments and data analysis to inform the interactive refinement of products.
• Liaise with academics and other experts to gather additional knowledge and support for product development.
• Design and conduct research projects and disseminate results.
  
  • Lead efforts for demonstrating product impact and efficacy, including strategies and methods for measurement.
  • Develop research questions and create research design in collaboration with data analysts to ensure data collection is sufficient to support desired analyses.
  • Produce reports, position papers, and manuscripts for internal research purposes, external client review, and publication in peer-reviewed or refereed venues.
  • Attend conferences to disseminate work and refresh knowledge of the field.

Basic Qualifications:

• PhD/EdD in education, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, or other relevant field.
• Familiarity with statistics and causal modeling.

• 2+ years of applied research experience.
• Research record, including publications and presentations to professional audiences.
• 1+ years of teaching experience.

The gross salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
