Global Legal Services (GLS) group is hiring a Legal Analyst (paralegal) to provide transactional, commercial and contracting support for GLS Clients. This position provides reports to the Manager of Legal Services OPG Americas E&P Transactions and Corp Capability. This position requires a highly skilled Legal Analyst who has broad transactional experience including but not limited to interpreting, drafting and/or negotiating contracts, contracting experience, preferably with some international experience as well.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

This position will perform paralegal tasks under the guidance and direction of attorneys, including:

• Support one Managing Counsel, one Supervising Counsel and six attorneys as an analyst (paralegal).
• Prepare and interpret a variety of agreements all based on consultation with business partners and review by attorneys.
• Negotiate with business partners and provide recommendations (risk analysis) to contract administrators and attorneys on counterparty's changes to legal terms in agreements.
• Work closely with subject matter experts in tax, finance, intellectual property, information risk management, compliance, local Americas in country attorneys and insurance to integrate guidance into negotiations and agreements.
• Work directly with internal clients and Outside Counsel
• Perform legal due diligence and legal research.
• Work closely with business partners and attorneys to resolve a variety of day-to-day issues and support a broad range of commercial transactions and/or projects.
• Recommend, develop and implement process improvements and simplification of tasks.

Required Qualifications:

• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or a law degree from an ABA-accredited school.
• Minimum of five years of experience as a paralegal in transactions or contracting.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to maintain high quality performance with varied deadlines and competing priorities
• Ability to be proactive and take initiative
• Demonstrated teamwork experience, be well organized and highly functional under time pressure.
• Keep confidentialities
• Communicate clearly, simply, and directly

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Bilingual (Spanish - write, read and speak)
• International Experience with the ability to work across cultures and time zones
• Advanced skillset in Microsoft Office tools (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Forms, OneNote, Sway and Visio), iManage and Team Connect.
