EIP is seeking a Legal Analyst to join its in-house legal team, led by the General Counsel. EIP's in-house legal team works closely with internal teams, external vendors, investors and portfolio companies in order to support the firm's business functions, both in the U.S. and abroad.

Requirements

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Provide support to the legal team on a variety of routine and complex matters
  • Lead and manage legal contract/document review processes for current/potential portfolio companies, vendors, consultants, etc., including confidentiality agreements, vendor agreements, and advisor agreements
  • Organize and accurately maintain electronic documents and files
  • Maintain an up-to-date library of standard contract templates and track documents and fund documentation to inform decision making
  • Support strategic initiatives for department and firm
  • Provide ad hoc operational support as needed

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 0-2 years of experience and strong interest in pursuing a legal career (industry experience preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree with demonstrated history of academic success
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills with willingness and ability to learn other applications and software
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively proof-read and edit non-routine correspondence, agreements, reports and tables
  • Mental flexibility and ability respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities
  • Task-driven, solution-oriented mindset with a superior attention to detail
  • Ability to work with teams in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • High IQ, EQ and ethical standards
