The Role:Â
Skillz is looking for a Legal Counsel to join its growing Legal Department at a company that is changing the world of esports and mobile gaming. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day commercial matters, including agreement drafting and execution. In addition, you will assist the General Counsel with managing corporate governance matters. Finally, you will provide counsel to the organization on basic employee relations issues. This role will report to the General Counsel.
What You Will Do:Â
Oversee commercial contracting functions and processes.
Maintain the Department's internal calendars related to Board activities and regulatory compliance.
Provide counsel to members of the commercial organization on contracting matters.
Provide advice and counsel to employee relations personnel in the United States on basic employment law matters.
Desired Experience and Professional Qualifications:

5 years experience in a large law firm or publicly-traded company providing counsel on commercial legal matters.
Familiarity with basic Labor & Employment Law.
