Boomi is looking for pragmatic legal professionals to join the in-house legal team in the U.S.. In this role, you may help with sales agreements, procurement, special projects, and "whatever is needed in Legal," as we build new systems and provide service to thousands more customers around the world. This company has multiplied in size over the past four years and we aim to do it again.

Note that the U.S. Legal team is all remote and all locations in North America can work for this role. Responsiveness is very important but no one stands by an office watching arrival times.

You will:
- Always think about what is a "smart and speedy approach," and dive into contract negotiation very quickly.
- Flexibly help solve needs as this team evolves, including supporting sales deals, some privacy agreement negotiations, channel partner agreements, and other projects as needed.
- Make recommendations of ways to be better while coordinating with the team on what's attainable.
- Be willing to take on new tasks as the business evolves.
- Act like an owner: Follow through to be sure the right steps were taken.
- Be part of a team that helps each other and cares about whether their teammates are doing well.
Every Boomi team member brings something unique to the table. Here's what we are looking for with this role:
Essential Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) with admission to at least one state bar
- 3+ years' experience dealing with corporate transactions in a law firm and/or in-house legal environment
- Demonstrated excellence in at least one past relevant field; contract negotiation, procurement
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and contract drafting skills
- Ability to work well with our customers and internal teams; able to influence leaders to get to the right outcome
- Proactive, anticipating "what could go wrong", ability to spot issues where the company should be saying "no" or need to spend extra cycles to handle a non-standard issue properly - a ble to confidently speak up if an issue needs attention
- Emotional intelligence, clear writing, attention to detail
- Comfortable multi-tasking, managing changing priorities, setting expectations on what's reasonable and doable, all while maintaining a healthy sense of humor
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in negotiating software licenses, SaaS agreements and/or Cloud agreements
