Legal Counsel (Hybrid)

DIRECTLY REPORTS TO:

Head of Legal

MAIN AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

The primary responsibility of the Legal Counsel is to advise and represent the company regarding the legal aspects related to Sprout’s business activities. He/She also assists the Head of Legal in monitoring the respective tasks of the Legal Department.

Additionally, the Legal Counsel shall ensure that Sprout is in full compliance with all the necessary national and local laws that are applicable to its particular industry. The Legal Counsel must monitor the quality standards, reporting, procedural documentation and training of the Company and its people.
 

TASKS:

• Coordinates with the Head of Legal regarding legal issues of the Company
• Drafts legal documents such as demand letters, contracts, agreements etc.
• Coordinates with different government agencies in securing the necessary permits and licenses for all development projects of Sprout. 
• Updating the Company with the new and latest laws that are applicable in the nature of business of Sprout
• In-charge of leading the internal compliance audit within the Company
• Monitors and conducts interviews with the department heads in ensuring quality standards process in their respective departments
• Ensures Sprout’s compliance with laws, regulatory requirements, policies and procedure
• Identify the possible compliance issues that may require investigation and resolution
• Assessing the internal process of Sprout in preparation for ISO 
• Helps Sprout in managing risks and maintaining the company’s good reputation
• Perform other duties as assigned by the company

QUALIFICATIONS | COMPETENCIES:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field
• Member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines
• 2+ years practice of Law
• Expertise in the field of: Labor Law, Commercial Law, Contracts Law, Civil Law
