Job Description

As Legal Counsel for Malaysia, you will be required to:

• Support Traveloka’s business in Malaysia and potentially other jurisdictions, through providing succinct and actionable legal advice.

• Develop a deep understanding of Traveloka’s business, including its commercial objectives and priorities.

• Draft, review and negotiate agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws.

• Act as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure compliance issues are appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.

• Advise the business on commercial claims and provide guidance regarding the performance of contracts.

• Assist with dispute resolution to the extent necessary.

• Handle routine company corporate secretarial work.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• A growth mindset and a good understanding of e-commerce and the travel industry.

• Excellent communication, drafting and negotiation skills.

• A law degree from a reputable university.

• A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification working experience.

• Have previously worked at a reputable law firm or multinational corporation as a legal counsel.

• Extensive knowledge of Malaysian laws as they may relate Traveloka’s business.

• Excellent English language abilities.
