We have an opening within Envoy's growing Legal team for a Legal Counsel to join us on a full-time basis. Our Legal Counsel will provide strategic legal advice and support to Envoy’s growing operations within the EMEA region and other locations globally. While reporting directly to the general counsel, our Legal Counsel will advise on a broad range of areas, including contracts, employment, data privacy and M&A.
As Legal Counsel, you will assist in managing legal matters related to our global subsidiary entities as we continue to grow organically and through M&A, including:
- Facilitate subsidiary integration into the overall corporate structure
- Assist on regulatory and compliance matters
- Establish company policies and related materials and trainings
- Attend to corporate governance matters
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts
- Advise on employment matters
- Provide legal support on M&A activity
- Other assistance as needed
To apply for this role, you should possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Law degree from a reputable university
- Admitted to practice law in the UK
- 6+ years of experience working at a law firm or inhouse
- Familiarity with data privacy and other relevant regulatory frameworks in the EMEA region
- Problem solving mindset, with the confidence to use outside counsel sparingly
- Business acumen and a sensitivity to commercial needs
- Experience across multiple jurisdictions, in particular France and/or the UAE a plus
- Ability to interact and communicate clearly and effectively
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of relevant tasks
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
