Legal Financial Analyst

Title:Legal Financial Analyst Location:One Manhattan, NYC Remote Policy: Hybrid – In office 3 times per week Compensation:Up to $115K + spot bonuses Ideal Candidate A detail-oriented finance professional with a strong background in financial analysis, ideally within a professional services or law firm setting. This individual will excel at translating complex financial data into actionable insights, thrive in a collaborative environment, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting. Key Responsibilities • Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership. • Leverage Oracle and Aderant systems to extract, reconcile, and analyze data for budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis. • Monitor key performance indicators and recommend strategies to improve operational efficiency and profitability. • Partner with department heads and practice leaders to review performance and support strategic planning. • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost control and revenue growth. • Assist with annual budgeting and reforecasting, ensuring accuracy and consistency across departments. • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects as needed. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. • Proven experience in financial analysis, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment. • Proficiency with Oracle and Aderant systems (required). • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data modeling. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings to both financial and non-financial audiences.
