Job Description

The Legal Intern will have the opportunity to learn about and help support a wide range of legal work for the nation's largest supplier of equipment, eCommerce and services solutions to the senior living profession. She or he will perform legal and regulatory research on corporate and health care matters, and assist with contracts, bids and other transactions. This role will have direct contact with our legal team and internal customers.

What You'll Do and Impact:

1. Perform quick and business-minded research on state and federal regulations, healthcare laws, and other legal issues that impact our customers and business, help facilitate our growth and broaden our regulatory knowledge base.

2. Under supervision of legal counsel, provide prompt and effective transaction support for contracts, customer and supplier documentation, and other contract support.

3. Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be requested.

What You'll Need:• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and completion of (or in process of completing) first or second year of law school.• Minimum of 3.2 law school GPA preferred.• Basic understanding of online legal research and how businesses work.• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.• Excellent prioritization skills, hardworking and ability to quickly learn new subject matters.• Strong analytical and research skills; ability to quickly understand requests and find accurate answers.• Ability to make smart business decisions quickly with little direction.• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.• Ability to work well independently and with minimal supervision.• Proven dependability, dedication and reliability with current and prior employers.• Commitment to the highest ethical and personal values.
