About the Job

Sovrn is looking for a Legal Intern to assist with several temporary contract administration projects on a temporary, contract basis.  The responsibilities of the Legal Intern will include working closely with the legal and business teams to review, analyze, and organize a wide variety of contracts, with a focus on customer and data acquisition and distribution agreements.

What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • Participate in day-to-day operations of the Legal Team
  • Significant research and analysis of company contracts
  • Other projects as requested by the Legal Team

You are driven and have proven the ability to work effectively across a dynamic, fast-paced organization.  You possess a basic knowledge and understanding of contractual terms and conditions. Your experience includes:

  • Must be currently enrolled and return to law school for 2023 Fall semester
  • Bachelor’s degree required; currently enrolled first- and second-year law students are preferred
  • Possess a basic knowledge and understanding of legal terms and conditions

  • Adaptability - Adapt to changes in the work environment; prioritize competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events, appreciates opportunity to adjust and adapt with growing business.
  • Professionalism - Must have a high degree of professional ethics and integrity and must display sound judgment.
  • Computer Skills – Proven expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite. Salesforce experience is a plus. Must have the ability to learn how to navigate a contracts management software.
  • Legal Research- Proficient research skills with and without various legal databases, with the ability to analyze findings and communicate results in a precise and concise manner.
  • Legal Writing – Must have excellent writing skills and some experience in drafting, editing, analyzing, and reviewing contracts in preparation for execution.

This position reports to: Director of Legal Operations (Andrea Policky)

Compensation and Benefits

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate compensation range for this role in Boulder, Colorado is $22.00 an hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills and certifications.
