Position Overview
SingleStore is pleased to welcome two Legal Interns to the SingleStore Legal Team. The Legal Interns will partner closely with our General Counsel and the rest of the Legal team as well as various departments across the organization on multiple projects over the summer. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to gain exposure into how a high-tech, Silicon Valley scale-up operates, and to better understand the breadth of responsibilities that go into working at an organization at this stage.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review, revise, and document various customer- and vendor-facing contracts
- Assist on data privacy, security, and compliance-related projects
- Assist on employment law-related matters
- Provide general support to and complete ad-hoc projects for all members of the Legal team
Required Skills and Experience
- Currently enrolled in a JD program
- A can-do, positive attitude, exceptional attention to detail, and strong team orientation
- Computer proficiency including Google Drive and Microsoft Office
- Experience with JIRA is a plus
- High capacity for tedium is a plus
- Experience with commercial law and/or privacy, security, and compliance is a plus
- Previous business experience is a plus
