The Opportunity:

We are looking for a current law student  to support our Global Legal Team on projects, working directly for the company’s Counsel for the Americas. All applicants must be able and willing to work 20 hours per week from June 5th to August 11th, with one day of the week in our Durham, NC office. This internship will pay $16/hour.

Your Mission:

You will have opportunities to work on current, real legal matters at a rapidly-growing technology company. As a Legal Intern, you will conduct research on assigned issues across different subject areas, convey your results and recommendations verbally and in writing to attorneys, receive feedback on your work, and see how your efforts are incorporated in the company’s operations. Additionally, you will be able to shadow and interact regularly with the company’s Counsel for the Americas, who will direct your work. The legal internship is a flexible experience designed to provide real work experience as well as interpersonal exchanges and connections.    

What you need to succeed:

• Current law student 
• Experience with legal research and writing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible and effective approach to assignments and task management
• Detail-oriented research and analysis
• Focus with a professional approach to work, communication, reliability, and time management
• Interest in the operations of a growing technology company’s legal department

Nice to have:

• Coursework or experience related to software-as-a-service agreements and other technology-related matters
• Coursework or experience related to the legal areas handled by a general counsel, such as contracts, employment, compliance, information security, and whatever comes up
