What you find at Danaher-and within yourself- might just change the world.The Project Manager and Danaher Business System (DBS) Engineer provides project management and DBS facilitation support to Danaher Legal and Compliance teams on enterprise-wide initiatives and special projects, with a focus on process creation and improvement. Additional responsibilities include acting as Scrum Master of software development projects that automate the abovementioned Danaher Legal and Compliance processes.The Danaher Business System (DBS) is our proven system for achieving success. Our DBS tools are designed to help us excel in the areas of Growth Leadership, and Lean, building on a strong foundation of DBS fundamentals (Voice of Customer, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Transactional Process Improvement, Kaizen, 5S, Problem Solving, and Visual & Daily Management).Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate Project portfolio and timeline to ensure proper prioritization of resources to meet project goals and delivery dates.
  • Facilitate VPM Installation Kaizens and manage the resulting projects supporting the core teams to drive them to Project goals.
  • Act as Scrum Master of development IT projects, facilitating the whole Agile development process.
  • Initiate, lead, and facilitate legal and compliance process improvement events through the effective application of Danaher Business System (DBS) Tools. Includes achieving and maintaining Certified Practitioner status for key DBS tools including, at minimum, Visual Project Management (VPM) and at least one of the following: Visual Management/Daily Management (DM/VM) or Transactional Process Improvement (TPI).
  • Manage the DM/VM audit programme in the Danaher Legal and Compliance Teams.
  • Develop Project Management and Facilitation Skills among Legal and Compliance Associates.
  • Train in DBS tools where the DBS & Project Manager is a Certified Trainer (CT).
Qualifications:
  • Strong bias for results and continuous process improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience managing corporate or global initiatives.
  • Experience in driving change management initiatives across an organization, ability to establish and build psychological safety and a foundation of trust as a basis for change management.
  • Proven project management skills, VPM CP or PMP certification preferred.
  • K nowledgeable of Agile Software Development Project Management Methodologies. Preferred Scrum certification as Project Master (PSM I).
  • Strategic thinking capability, proven ability in dealing with ambiguity.
  • Strong influence management at various levels across the organization.
  • International business experience.
  • Must be able to manage controversial issues that may arise through constructive communication with cross-functional teams.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university (or local equivalent).
  • Minimum seven years related experience and/or training from law/consulting firm and corporate in-house legal department preferably with experience gained from the healthcare/life sciences sector.
Travel:Approximately 20-40% travel (domestic & international).Work ArrangementThis position is eligible for a remote work arrangement in which you can work remotely from your home. Additional information about this remote work arrangement will be provided by your interview team.Equal Pay ActThe salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
