Legal Operations Specialist
Job Description
Optiver is looking for an adaptable forward thinker to join our team as a Legal Operations Specialist. Our Legal Operations Specialist provides support to the attorneys on our legal team, which will involve close interactions with a variety of functions across Optiver, including finance, corporate strategy, procurement and tax.Â

What you’ll do:
- Report directly to Optiver’s US Assistant General Counsel; support the Legal team and work closely with the Legal Operations Manager on a variety of tasks and initiatives
- Handle high volume contract management process
- Assist with the drafting, editing, logging, and maintenance of electronic documents
- Assist in the formation of corporate entities and handle corporate housekeeping matters such as annual filings and updates to registrations
- Work closely with the legal group to increase efficiencies in key processes and systems
- Work independently; expected to manage projects and advance business objectives
- Act as the first point of contact for business support teams who interface with externals
- Distill and distribute sensitive information to externals on a need to know basis
- Exercise independent judgment and escalate atypical requests internally as needed
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- 2+ years of experience in in a law firm or legal department
- Excellent written communication skills, with an emphasis on customer-, relationship-building correspondence with internals and externals
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, ability to quickly master other electronic workflow tools (ex. Confluence and JIRA)
- Experience handling sensitive information Â
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and high-degree of attention to detail
- A desire to work in a modern corporate legal department
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Â We will not sponsor individuals for employment authorization for this job opening
