Join us as a Legal Support Representative

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Legal Support Representative to join our Fund Administration team. The Legal Support Representative reports to Senior Counsel or Practice Leader within Legal Administration which provides full service corporate secretarial and regulatory support services to a variety of mutual fund complexes including open end and closed end funds.

Area of Responsibility:

1. Client Service

  • Provide administrative and paralegal support to legal analysts and attorneys within legal administration
  • Prepare timelines and request matrices for board and committee book production and regulatory filings
  • Create, maintain and update distribution and contact lists for legal administration clients
  • Complete administrative aspects of board and committee book production including ordering binders and tabs, coordinating and supervising copy center, preparing covers and spines, assembling and quality checking books, mailing books and coordinating copying of book materials
  • Provide billing information to admin for processing
  • Complete all administrative aspects of assigned regulatory filings
  • Prepare and make various EDGAR filings

2. Control/Risk Management

  • Obtain basic understanding of regulations pertaining to mutual funds and other investment structures
  • Assist legal analysts and attorneys in following and developing procedures designed to ensure compliance with applicable regulations

3. Leadership/People

  • Form solid working relationships within legal administration and with those areas outside legal administration who provide information or support to legal administration
  • Demonstrate solid work ethic and team support by volunteering for tasks and assignments, contributing at staff meetings and maintaining office hours conducive to delivering stellar client service

Qualifications:

  • Associate/Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Preferably 1+ years prior administrative support in Legal environment but not required
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills required
  • Detail-oriented
  • Organized
