Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Lending Associate is responsible for underwriting, executing, and monitoring middle and lower-middle-market loan facilities. 


OFS Capital Management is affiliated with CIM Group. OFS provides investment management services to North American corporations, focusing on debt financing solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support the team in the underwriting, documentation, & closing of investment opportunities
  • Analyze potential investment opportunities and present written analysis on individual credits
  • Monitor portfolio credits including performing periodic and recurring portfolio reviews and updates
  • Assist in amendment discussions, negotiations and internal approval processes
  • Attend board meetings and management calls of assigned portfolio companies 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 years’ experience in lending, banking, investment banking or private equity
  • Detail-oriented
  • Quantitative proficiency

COMMUNICATION SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to analyze and interpret business documents, technical materials, financial reports and/or legal documents.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on investment opportunities or portfolio situations to Investment Committee and other senior management.
  • Ability to organize effective written communication, adapted to various audience styles.
