Summary/Objective: 

The Lending Services Operations Specialist II is a team member of the Lending Operations department and is responsible for collaborating effectively to support members and internal departments including business partners in card processing. This role will proactively seek opportunities for improvement in departmental processes and procedures related to card and consumer loan servicing.  This role will independently complete loan maintenance, modification/subordination requests and process GAP claims/cancellations in a fast paced, time sensitive operations environment. 

Essential Functions:

  • Primary function is to accurately complete general and complex level card maintenance requests for internal and external members including provisional credit, Visa advances, blocking cards, ordering/reordering cards and travel exclusions. 
  • Opens and closes cards including general membership, employee, and internal corporate cards.  
  • Serves as a resource to Contact Center and branch employees by responding to intermediate questions and conducting research about card products, services, operational policies/procedures, and transactions. 
  • Verifies applicable loan documents to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Performs file maintenance on members’ accounts on a regular basis including researching and resolving any discrepancies regarding members’ card accounts.
  • Ensures account accuracy, proper storage of member information and adheres to privacy standards and other regulatory requirements. 
  • Respond to force placed insurance inquiries, facilitate Letter of Guarantee requests, and handle loan application document uploads. Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports to ensure proper processing is occurring, while proactively identifying problems or potential efficiencies.
  • Provides knowledgeable, accurate, professional and personalized service with a positive attitude to all members, internal and external.  
  • Understands process and procedures within the department and proactively identifies areas for improvement as needed.
  • Adheres to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations governing the Credit Union, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Required Education and Experience:

  • Two years of similar experience
  • Equivalent to a two-year college degree or a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
  • Highly knowledgeable of card processing and consumer loan product features including Visa and COOP FS Operating Rules and Regulations as it pertains to disputes and fraud.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger reconciliations.
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under time constraints and deadlines
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and maintain exemplary customer service when interacting with both internal and external stakeholders
  • High proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment:

Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe. As such, a personal smart phone is a requirement for employment with us. This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.

Compensation Information:

The person hired into this position will likely earn between $17.63/hr. and $22.07/hr. plus annual bonus.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Anticipated Application Window:
