Position Summary

Exercises independent discretion and judgement in claim's handling involving complex liability issues, to include coverage issues and severe injury claims.

• This is a remote work form home position in NC.
• The ideal candidate will live in close proximity to the Raleigh Branch Office.

Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct investigations, evaluate and make recommendations regarding coverage and liability

Handle claims invoving complex liability , damages or coverages.

Negotiate with all parties, or their representatives, within designated authority.

Douments the file and submits reports.

Identifies subrogation opportunities and initiates appropriate action.

Complete required training.

The position requires the incumbent to provide support for property claims during periods of heavy volume.

Train and mentor.

Travel for training may be required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required;

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Five years casualty claims adjusting experience or equivalent experience in the medical or legal field required.

Broad knowledge and expertise in the areas of liability coverages, laws and injuries required.

Position requires incumbents to provide support for property claims during periods of heavy volume.

Completion of Associate in Claims (AIC) program preferred.

Travel for training may be required.

Valid driver's license required.
