About the role….

The award-winning Policygenius Content Team is dedicated to producing innovative, best-in-class content that helps readers get the financial protection they need and feel good about it. We’re looking for an Insurance Editor to write and edit accessible, easy-to-digest, and engaging educational content about life insurance. This role will report to the Associate Director, SEO Content.

In this role, you will…

• Research, write, and edit the best life insurance explainer content on the internet
• Pitch and execute exciting new content initiatives to help grow our life insurance library 
• Collaborate with our SEO team and content directors on content strategy
• Refresh and optimize our existing content in line with our plan to improve search rankings, grow organic traffic, and increase conversion rates

We’d love to hear from you if...

• You’re knowledgeable about life insurance policies and carriers — you have acquired this expertise by working 1+ years as a life insurance agent or broker, or by writing SEO content about life insurance. Knowledge of disability insurance is a plus.
• You have outstanding written communication skills and are able to explain complex concepts in clear straightforward language.
• You’re comfortable collaborating with stakeholders from different departments.
• You’re a fast learner willing to incorporate SEO writing and best practices into your skill set and use them to provide the best unbiased life insurance advice on the market.
