Where you fit in

The Life Skills Specialist monitors and provides care coordination and life skills training and development in collaboration with the care team to youth and/or adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders, including those with serious and persistent mental illness and chronic addiction.

Your exceptional skills• Care team: Collaborates as part of a multidisciplinary care team member. May assist with gathering data for comprehensive psychosocial assessments. Able to deescalate clients displaying aggressive behaviors. Documents services provided in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) based on policies and procedures. When necessary, will transport clients in personal vehicles.• Trains and assists clients and/or family in the development of living skills, individually or in groups.• Participates in development of curricula for individual and group services that meet the individual needs of the client/family served.• Monitors individual client/family outcomes as related to skill acquisition and training.• Department Accountabilities: Complies with all applicable Behavioral Health Care Service policies and procedures. Actively involved in professional development and education, including mandatory training. Completes timecards, PTO requests, mileage reports, and other documentation per Community Behavioral Health policies and procedures.

Your exceptional qualifications- Life Skills Specialist• High School Diploma or GED (Required)• Current Indiana Driver's License (Required)• 2+ years: Two (2) years of social service experience in a volunteer or paid role. (Required)

Your exceptional qualifications - Life Skills Clinician

• Bachelor's Degree in mental health or related field (Required)• Current Indiana Driver's License (Required)• 1+ year: One (1) year of social service experience in a volunteer or paid role. (Preferred)
