We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Lifecycle Marketing Manager to join our team at BetterCloud. This pivotal role focuses on creating, strategizing, executing, and optimizing a data-driven communications strategy across the post-sales customer journey— maximizing opportunities for growth, retention, and loyalty. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Lifecycle Marketing Manager will design targeted campaigns that enhance user engagement, drive revenue growth, and reduce churn. You'll deliver personalized experiences that resonate with IT professionals, ensuring their success and fostering lasting relationships with BetterCloud.

About You

  • 3-5 years of experience in CRM, Digital Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, Growth Marketing, or a related position with the responsibility of driving revenue or ROI.
  • Deep understanding of marketing automation tools and CRM systems, with the ability to leverage these technologies for targeted campaign execution.
  • Experience working in tools such as Marketo, Sendoso, SalesForce, etc., to execute segmented campaigns that deliver timely and relevant messages.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a keen eye for identifying trends and opportunities in customer behavior.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content that engages and converts.
  • A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and improve customer experiences.
  • A commitment to staying informed on the latest marketing trends and technologies, with a willingness to innovate and experiment with new strategies.

What You’ll Do 

  • Working alongside Customer Success Managers and Renewal Managers, you’ll have ownership over revenue and up/cross-sell targets for BetterCloud customer renewals
  • Develop and manage complex automated marketing campaigns, using segmentation and personalized messaging to drive adoption, engagement, and retention.
  • Map out and understand the complete user lifecycle journey, identifying key touchpoints and opportunities for engagement across all communication platforms.
  • Identify and develop customer segmentation strategies across various channels - including email, in-app, digital, and social - tailoring marketing approaches based on data and customer behavior insights.
  • Collaborate with customer facing teams to ensure cohesive customer experiences and to align marketing strategies with company-wide objectives.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics, using insights to optimize campaign performance and inform future strategies.

  • Met with your team and team members across go-to-market and Product
  • Started to learn about the market and BetterCloud’s vision for innovation

In your first 30 days, you will have…

  • Worked closely with Customer Success leaders and individuals to understand BetterCloud customers and how they rely on BetterCloud
  • Know key players across the org, have started to build relationships and sit in on calls with Customers to hear from them directly
  • Started to map out a strategy for scaled customer engagements

In your first 60 days, you will have…

  • Executed campaigns to BetterCloud customers with cross-functional team members
  • Developed a cadence of reporting and analysis to share results of your campaigns with the Marketing org and the rest of the GTM team
  • Developed a strong understanding of our customer, our brand, and our product to inform your messaging and campaign strategy

Salary Range: IC3 - 100-125 base 

This salary range represents BetterCloud’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting, and BetterCloud may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.  The final salary for this position will be determined in BetterCloud’s sole discretion, consistent with applicable law, and based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the employee’s work experience, skills, and qualifications for the role, as well as the needs of BetterCloud’s business and other operational considerations.
