The Business Systems Engineer for LightStream is a subject matter expert and vendor liaison for the LightStream core deposit system. They are responsible for managing Finxact/Savana releases, testing, procedures, and supporting production and validation. Through partnership with product strategy, operations and marketing they continuously implement changes across the core system through an agile evolution of the client value.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. The Business Systems Engineer works closely with the Sr. Business Systems Engineer and other agile team members to drive desired business results. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Work with vendor to coordinate monthly releases that enable additional product and servicing capabilities
2. Review release notes, coordinate with impacted teams, create test plans
3. Execute test plans, document results and communicate with impacted teams
4. Coordinate user access for Finxact/Savana including role/permission configurations and attestations
5. Collaborate with team to build agile stories to support requested features/functionality
6. Execute on assigned stories by updating configurations and completing testing
7. Partner with Sr. Business Process Engineer and Operations to test Savana workflow configuration updates
8. Define and drive policy/procedure creation and updates for new processes
9. Submit and manage vendor requests for questions, issues, and enhancements
10. Work in close partnership with agile Product Managers and Product Owners and Scrum Teams to coordinate configuration of system components that affect multiple areas
11. Work with Legal/Compliance, Governance and Risk partners to review key Finxact/Savana configurations and processes
12. Subject matter expert on core system capabilities
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Associate's degree in Business, Business Administration, Information Technology-related field, or equivalent education and related training
2. Five years of experience as a business analyst or related role/experience, with experience in one or more of the following areas: Project Management, Business Process Management Relationship Management, Business Operations, or Quality Management
3. Three years of experience in banking or finance industry.
4. Experience with Agile/Lean methodologies work requests/project requirements
5. Strong presentation, verbal and written skills
6. Strong critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
7. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Highly collaborative planning ability, excellent diplomacy, tact, judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
2. Ability to think critically to drive change; capability of successfully managing multiple tasks concurrently
3. Ability to solve moderately complex problems and drive structure through ambiguity
4. Understanding of API frameworks and technology
5. Previous experience working with core deposits, card processing or other core banking systems (e.g. FIS, Shaw, TSYS, First Data)
6. Proficiency with Agile tools and technology (Version One, TFS, Rally, Jira, etc.)
7. Finxact or Savana experience
The annual base salary for this position is $90,000 - $105,000.
