Job Mission 

In order to manage the Security First Line of Defense within IT the Assurance & Resilience department has been created. For this department we are looking for a line manager. 

As a line manager you are an excellent manager with knowledge of security, compliance and continuity within IT. You are keen on guiding and coaching team members to become valuable members of high-performing teams. 

As a member of the Assurance & Resilience MT you will manage the Cyber Resilience Readiness team. This team will focus on responding to- and recovering from high impact cyber incidents and -crises. You and your team will handle topics like IT Continuity, Crisis Management and Resilience Training & Exercise and you will support the ARTs with continuity related activities within IT. Your stakeholders are in all levels of the organization and your scope is not limited to Veldhoven only, but has a world-wide reach. 

You manage the (people related) activities of the assigned team, in line with the department strategy, business plans and relevant policies, to realize the agreed objectives for the team while fostering trust. You contribute to the realization of the strategic and people related objectives and progression of the department. You create an open and transparent environment and support the growth of employees. 

Job description 

Working in a line managers position gives you a wide range of responsibilities and deliverables. A grasp of what you can expect in this position: 

  • Support building and shaping the new Assurance & Resilience department in the areas of vision, strategy and roadmap. 

  • Identify staffing needs within the Cyber Resilience Readiness team based on the required competencies and align with the vision, strategy and roadmap. 

  • Providing guidance, instruction, direction and leadership to a small sized & world-wide operating team, in order to achieve agreed results. 

  • Your activities require cooperation with adjacent functional and/or operational disciplines for which thorough understanding of interfaces with other disciplines and parties is needed. 

  • You manage (people related) CAPEX and OPEX according to budget and monitor financial performance versus plans and budgets. 

 

 

Skills 

Acting in a line manager role at ASML requires a good mix between excellent soft skills and proven experience, having acted in relevant positions in similar, global manufacturing environments. You are naturally able to communicate across multiple layers within an organization and are no stranger to handle resistance from your (business) stakeholders. As we are working in a high-pressure environment, you are very well able to handle yourself (and your teams) in a similar environment.  

 

Ideally you bring the following experience: 

  • At least 3 a 5 years of experience managing teams 

  • Conceptual knowledge of IT security, compliance and continuity 

  • Bachelor with substantial work experience or Master with equivalent experience 

  • A can do mentality, willing to take the extra mile. 

  • Focus on deliver 

  • Having security certificates (e.g. CISSP, CISM) or any other relevant security certificate is a preference 

  • Strong stakeholder management and capable of building strong relationships of trust at different levels in the organization 

  • Able to operate independently and show ownership
