Summary/Objective Responsible for loading and unloading plating racks on automatic plating machine with parts and change rack crossbars as required to accommodate different types of parts. This process needs to be completed safely, timely, and efficiently while producing a quality product, and meeting customer specifications. • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

• Follow all safety and hazardous waste rules for the generation and placement of hazardous waste into containers.

• Read manufacturing and engineering instructions for plating and preparing materials in racks for plating.

• Maintain plating line to ensure proper plating results.

• Perform standard work per the quality work plans.

• Use equipment according to manufacturing and engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of fasteners/ metal parts.

• Test plated material for conformance to specified plating thicknesses.

• Record data on testing results to assist quality technicians.

• Perform basic count and inventory management.

• Ability to follow ISO procedures and work instructions.

• Maintain 6S and housekeeping.

• Generate improvement ideas on a weekly basis.

• Participate in team-based improvement activities.

• Forklift (i.e. powered industrial truck) operation.

• All other duties as assigned

Work Environment and Physical Demands Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds and seldom lifting to 50lbs. Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle and/or adjust equipment. Moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping and grasping. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toed work boots or shoes.
