Position Details

As part of our continuing transformation and growth journey, we continue to invest heavily in our Linehaul Transport capability and are now looking for several Linehaul Drivers to be based out of Victoria (Hume Rd, Laverton). 

Pay & Perks

• Linehaul Drivers at Lineage are paid $0.5357 per kilometre.

• On call allowance - after midnight on-call trips are paid an additional $25.45 per hour from midnight until a start time has been confirmed.

• Breakdown allowance - an additional $25.45 per hour for a max of 8 hrs in a 24hr period.

• Pre & Post trip duties allowance - an additional $25 allowance will be paid if all pre & post trip duties are completed.

• Travel allowance as per award.

The Role

Reporting to the Victorian State Linehaul Manager, you will be responsible for the transport (pick up & delivery) of temperature sensitive freight from our distribution centres/our customers.

With great rates of pay and industry leading conditions, we're looking for Linehaul Drivers who maintain the highest levels of safety, diligence and customer service as we work to continually improve on our reputation as the global leader in the field of temperature-controlled logistics.

We're focused on ensuring all our employees return home safely every day.

Key KPIs/Deliverables include, but are not limited to:

• Providing driving record history.

• Undergoing driver assessment.

• Undergoing pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.

• Maintaining accurate paperwork for driving activities, detailing number of hours worked, drops offs and rest periods.

• Safely transporting goods to and from specific locations according to delivery schedules.

• Notifying management of any accidents, vehicle damage, or major maintenance issues.

• Adhering to practices and procedures regarding relevant transport, food and safety standards whilst also ensuring CoR compliance.

To be successful, you should have:

• Experience in a similar role.

• A current Multi-Combination (MC) licence (B Double drivers in Melbourne).

• Ideally, some experience with refrigerated transport (preferred).

• A good track record of accurate completion of freight & heavy vehicle road transport paperwork.

• Excellent understanding of CoR principles (NHVLR, Mass/Fatigue Management).

• Ideally experience in the HACCP/Food Safety process in regard to critical control points.
