Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Linux Admin along with Windows Administration – L2 Level you will be placed at customer location and will have to demonstrate expertise in Linux & Windows in an enterprise environment. You will be involved in troubleshooting and operational maintenance of Linux & Windows Operating System. You are expected to work on all Linux / Unix flavours & Windows OS performance tuning & shell scription with little or minimum support from superiors.

Responsibilities:

• Configure Manage and Monitor Linux & Windows Operating System.
• Hands on Experience in disk management—Partitioning tools like fdisk.
• Maintaining a proper schedule reboot of servers for performance improvement.
• Installation and configuring Linux (Multiple Flavour)
• User Administration tasks such as Create change and delete user accounts per request.
• Change file and directory permissions as per client request
• Plan and execute Software and Patch management tasks on quarterly basis.
• Knowledge on boot process and troubleshooting booting problems
• Working on job scheduling batch using crontab.
• Performing Logical Volume Administrator create and resize using Volume Group.
• Monitoring disk status System processes User process activity Memory activity and Network Memory and Swap space management.
• Kernel Upgradation & security patch installation through Red Hat Satellite Server.
• Managing daily Health Check-up of Database Server App Servers & LDAP Server.
• Creating and mapping of LUN’s on OS.
• Troubleshooting and resolving network issues related to the server.
• Coordinated with server H/w venders for support.
• Installing Configuring and troubleshooting Windows server 20082012R22016 and 2019 servers
• Configuring and monitoring the health of Active Directory and Domain Controllers.
• Creating & Managing users/groups and permissions.
• DNS and DHCP Server management and IP address management.
• Troubleshooting day-to-day issues.
• Managing the virtual servers deployed on vSphere 6.5 and 6.7 and managing the ESXi hosts.
• Managing storage and snapshot management for VMs.
• Troubleshooting VMware related issues.
• Ready to work 24/7 Environment

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3 Years of Experience in Supporting Linux & Windows platform.
• Experience in IT infrastructure projects planning implementation and administration across multiple domains as well as experience in end- to-end IT Operations.
• Experience in support telecom customer is added advantage.
• Experience in Sun Servers & Solaris Operating System is added advantage.
• Should be able to update/upgrade firmware/drivers on any hardware.
• Should be good experience in implementation and troubleshooting of complex issues.
• Experience in supporting HA environment Linux & Windows Cluster.
• A general understanding of Networking technologies.
• Ability to lead projects related to IT changes IT setup and new process setup by coordination with multiple arms of IT team.
• Demonstrate Problem Solving & analytical skills in IT Infrastructure domain both IT hardware & software / applications Experience in projects planning implementation and administration in multiple domains.
• Documentation skills for generating process and procedure documents is added advantage.
• LDAP configuration & support
• Should be able to prepare RCA for complex issues.
• OEM Certification on RHEL & Windows Required.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Diploma or Graduation degree in Computers or equivalent.
• Should be able to prepare Daily Weekly & Monthly reports.
