We are looking for a Linux Administrator to join our team and help ensure our Linux server infrastructure remains secure, reliable, and available. As a Linux Administrator, you will be an integral part of our IT team, helping to maintain and improve Barracuda's systems. You should be motivated, organized, and have a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong teamwork, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. Additionally, they should demonstrate expertise in managing Linux systems and a genuine enthusiasm for staying informed about the latest technological advancements.

What you'll be working on

• Install, upgrade, maintain and document Barracuda's Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) applications, servers, and associated systems.
• Scripting and automating existing command line processes using BASH, Python, or other similar tools.
• Support configuration management via Ansible and Git.
• Monitor and maintain system performance, capacity, availability and perform tuning as needed.
• Document network environments and upgrade/maintenance procedures.

What you bring to the role

• Strong technical skills and previous experience in Linux administration.
• Experience with Ansible and/or Puppet.
• Be motivated, organized, and have an eye for detail.
• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in information technology or a related field
• Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

The anticipated on-target earnings range for this role is $95,000 - $131,000. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, the budget for the position, and applicable employment laws.
