Linux Administrator

Looking for an innovative, and motivated individual to join a small, talented, and hardworking Linux team in a hybrid cloud and on premise based environment. This team creates, maintains, and troubleshoots Linux instances on multiple networks, in multiple architectures.

The ideal candidate works well in a small team setting, has a desire to learn hands-on Linux administration, AWS Cloud and automation/scripting techniques, and communicates well with team members.

MANDATORY SKILLS: A TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required for this role.

Required skills:

Monitor servers for health and status

Basic troubleshoot skills

User account administration

Self-motivated

Strong desire to learn and grow

Ability to follow instructions and communicate with team members

DoD 8570 Compliance with IAM level 1 is required.

OPTIONAL SKILLS: Desired skills:

Experience with Kickstart installation/configuration

Experience with Software installation/updates/patches via Yum

Experience with or understanding of services such as DNS, NFS, LVM, rsyslog, iptables

Experience with AWS Cloud and Services

Experience with scripting.

Experience with Puppet and Ansible

Experience with Centrify

Experience with SAN storage from server side
