Linux System Administrator

The candidate for the Linux System Administrator position will be responsible for maintaining accredited information systems (IS) in various physical environments and configurations. Under minimum supervision, the candidate should have the basic knowledge required to manage the technical aspects of an IS and perform the following activities:

• Perform the setup, configuration, maintenance, and day-to-day operation of Linux-based systems.
• Provide onsite Linux administration duties for end-users, including hardware and software support, and file system maintenance.
• Responsible for reviewing various user requirements and outlining potential solutions.
• May assist with drafting technical procedures or documentation related to system configuration details and network topologies.

Job Requirements

Experience:

• Bachelors in a related field or working toward degree completion.
• At least two years of CentOS or Red Hat Linux administration experience.
• Required Security+ certification and a Linux OS certification, or willing to obtain within the first 90-days of hire.
• Experience with scripting for automation (Python, BASH, Shell).
• General working knowledge of STIGs, SCAP, and vulnerability scans.
• Experience with network administration or VMWare products would be a plus.
• Currently active SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain TS.
