Linux System Administrator (TS/SCI CI POLY)

Our Infrastructure Specialists are responsible for keeping up with these latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Mid-Level Linux System Administrator you will join a small team supporting the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community (IC) by facilitating data sharing using the Common Data Fabric (CDF). You will work alongside a web application development team to build out and maintain several AWS environments to support full-stack deployments using DevOps best practices.

The project you will be working is in support of improving the way information is made available to systems and/or machines and eliminating delays in gaining access. Our program (Diamond) gathers the technical and policy information that is required to connect data providers and consumers to the CDF. We then generate structured work requests that flow to a sister program (Coalminer) to complete the onboarding of the data providers and consumers. On this program your team will be imagining and creating a solution that automates today’s manual processes for capturing data policy and generating the critical and highly unique data sharing agreements (DSAs) that enable the CDF to enforce system-to-system data sharing across the IC and in support of warfighter missions. In addition your team’s solution will enable self-service CDF onboarding for new IC data providers and consumers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certifications (ie CompTia Security+)
• Demonstrate experience administering and troubleshooting web applications and networks on a Linux system (RHEL or CentOS preferred in an AWS environment).
• Experience performing security hardening of a Linux system to implement NIST 800-53 security controls.
• Experience implementing and troubleshooting PKI for web application endpoints (TLS).
• Experience managing full stack nodejs/react/database/nosql applications and databases deployed using Docker containers.
• Clearance: Active TS/SCI CI Poly

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Current or recent status as a Privileged User in an IC environment
• Experience with software configuration tools (Ansible Puppet Chef…) is a plus.
• Hands-on experience assisting with the ATO approval process is a plus.
• Software development and/or scripting experience with Bash and languages such as Perl Python NodeJS etc. is a plus.
