Linux Systems Administrator Mid, Senior and Subject Expert Levels

Job Description

ASRC Federal Data Solutions, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking Linux Systems Administrators at themid, senior and subject matter expert level to supportour NOAA programs on site in Silver Spring, Maryland.

These roles are 100% on site position.

Key Role:

Provide support for Linux systems running on Red Hat enterprise Linux. Troubleshoot, patch, back up / restore VM's, deploying new VM's and work with application teams on Middleware support.

Task Description:

• Maintain stable Linux environment
• Patch servers monthly or on as needed basis for vulnerabilities
• Use Ansible tower to manage and maintain the Linux environment
• Write Ansible scripts to optimize SA work
• Manage Puppet in providing compliance of the Linux environment
• Manage and maintain Satellite server and its repositories and the devices that pull down the repos
• Manage Red Hat Identity Management servers and managerCertificate and PKI infrastructure
• Proficient in VMWare Esxi infrastructure and knowledge on deploying VM's
• Configure and install virtual desktop infrastructure and Enterprise backup solutions.
• Tune system utilizations for memory, processes, and network performance.

Requirements

All positions require US Citizenship to meet government access requirements

Subject Matter Expert level:

• 12+ years of experience with planning, designing, and installing virtual
• Must have Red Hat Certified Engineer - RHCE certification
• Hardware/software/storage within an Enterprise data center
• Should have expert level knowledge on Ansible and managing of Linux environment
• Red Hat Identity Management,Red Hat PKI infrastructure Management andVMWare ESXi

Senior Level:

• 8 - 12 years of experience with planning, designing, and installing virtual hardware/software/storage within an Enterprise data center
• Red Hat Certified System administrator - RHCSA
• Should have expert level knowledge on Ansible and managing of Linux environment
• Red Hat Identity Management,Red Hat PKI infrastructure Management,VMWare ESXi

Mid Level Linux Systems Admin:

• 4-8 years of experience with planning, designing, and installing virtual hardware/software within an Enterprise datacenter
• Should have a minimum level knowledge on Ansible and managing of Linux environment
• Red Hat Identity Management,Red Hat PKI infrastructure Management,VMWare ESXi
