Job Description

​​About the Role:

Hims & Hers is seeking a self-motivated and pragmatic Litigation Counsel to join our growing collaborative Legal team. The successful candidate will be a team player entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a fast-paced remote work environment. You will actively manage and oversee litigation including providing legal guidance to our Customer Service and People teams and partnering with cross-functional business teams to pursue and defend litigation matters. You will get to work on interesting and novel issues that arise from the intersection of healthcare technology and e-commerce.

You Will:

  • Primary responsibility for litigation matters including case strategy development and execution in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

  • Represent the company in smaller litigation matters including regulatory inquiries subpoenas and other third-party requests for information.

  • Manage outside counsel for more complex litigation matters including providing strategic guidance case management and coordinating internally with business teams to gather relevant information.

  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on litigation-related matters including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

  • Develop and oversee the company’s discovery and litigation hold processes.

  • Provide guidance and updates to management on litigation matters.

  • Maintain effective communication with insurance carriers and other third parties.

You Have:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and current active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.

  • 5+ years of experience practicing at a law firm government or in-house.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including top-notch litigation drafting skills.

  • Ability to think quickly and simultaneously manage a complex workload and shifting priorities while meeting tight internal and external deadlines.

  • Resourceful self-starter with a team-oriented mindset and positive attitude.

  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
