About the role

We are seeking an experienced Litigation & Regulatory Counsel to join our Legal Team.  In this role you will lead and support the company’s work on litigation matters and regulatory investigations including navigating the novel issues presented by AI.

In this role you will:

• Serve as the company lead on litigation and regulatory matters working across ElevenLabs and with outside counsel to manage all stages of lawsuits and investigations including:

  • retaining outside counsel;

  • formulating strategy;

  • marshalling facts internally;

  • overseeing e-discovery and broader discovery processes;

  • drafting and editing written advocacy; and

  • preparing outside counsel for court appearances.

• Identify and address legal risks associated with our advanced technologies and work cross-functionally to implement effective risk mitigation strategies.

• Support the Legal Team’s compliance function helping ensure that the company remains abreast of and compliant with legal obligations both in the U.S. and broad

• Develop and apply deep expertise in the evolving landscape of case law statutes and regulations that impact generative AI companies.

• Contribute actively to the Legal Team’s efforts to scale our litigation function while fostering a collaborative and supportive culture.

What you bring

• JD with active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (New York preferred).

• 7+ years of litigation and investigations knowledge and skills developed in law firm in-house and/or government roles.

• Experience with the unique legal issues faced by AI and other emerging tech companies.

• Proven track record of managing complex litigation matters.

• Excellent analytical and communication skills to support cross-functional teams as well as to engage with external partners.
